Negotiated Practice
Here are some double page spreads from a children's book I am working on. I am new to writing my own stories to illustrate. It has been both challenging and really fun.

Ol' Cappy
An exhibition piece I did for a group exhibition in a local surf shop that a fellow student was awesome enough to organise. All done digitally, except for the linework. Experimenting with adding some screen printing aesthetics into my illustration.
Print size just under A2

2012 Showreel
It is finally done! I have completed my current project, and with that the second year of my illustration degree. It was a HARD last three weeks, with me seeing no sunlight and little else than my Mac. I am extremely happy with the final outcome if my showreel project and am happy to share it:
This character design and 3D modeling showreel has been based on Carl Jung’s research into psychological archetypes. It specifically focuses on The Persona. The part of ourselves that we show the world. Our facade. Our coping mechanism. This ‘bookish’, misunderstood, character overcompensates for his underdeveloped Persona by summoning up a physical manifestation of his coping mechanism in the form of a Golem, to combat the ridicule and jests aimed in his direction. The golem serves as his barrier between him and the 'outside' world. Throughout this project I have been concerned with the convergence of art and audience, and the tools that I might develop to reach a target demographic. In this case, prospective employers.

Just a quick update
I've been working on a great project that basically involves me using the psychologist Carl Jung's theories and 'Archetypes' as inspiration for character designs. I will then take these 2D character designs and make 3D models of them to culminate in an (hopefully) awesome character design/illustration showreel. Here are some illustrations I have been working as of late:

Lots of cool 3D art and character designs still to come :D
This guy is in my opinion the most fun to do and best illustration I have done to date :D
I love him.

Drawing for my life
Here are some sketches I did in a recent life drawing class I attended. We had a great model and teacher leading the class. i haven't been to a class in years. Really want to try and work on my drawing skills this year.
Drawing times ranged from 10mins to less than a minute. Here are some of the better ones:
